Anywhere you find electricity, you find Electric and Magnetic Fields (EMFs). We can run, but we sure can't hide from EMFs. They surround us where ever we are--at our homes, schools, places of employment and even on the streets in our cities and towns.
In recent years, a number of studies have been conducted around this topic, indicting there is a need to be concerned about the health effects when we are constantly being bombarded by a daily bath of EMFs. The best course of action is to stay informed, take reasonable steps to limit your exposure, and continue to do your own homework on the subject so you can make knowledgeble decsions.
REVIEWING DIFFERENT SOURCES OF EMFs:
MAGNETIC:
Commonly found around water towers, above-ground power lines, transformers, computers, low-voltage lighting, a home or building's electrical mast and panel and faulty or outdated wiring
ELECTRIC:
Commonly found emanating from clock radios, laptops and lamps. Anything that is plugged in with a cord can have high electric field readings.
RADIO FREQUENCY:
DECT cordless phones and baby monitors, cellphone towers, Wi-Fi networks
DIRTY ELECTRICITY:
This is electromagnetic radiation riding in your interior home wiring
PLUMBING CURRENT/GROUND CURRENT:
Comes in from outside via the water pipe and ground wires
WHAT CAN I DO?
When preparing to clean up EMFs, target the most frequented rooms in the house such as the bedrooms, home office and family room, and begin to how to reduce their exposure.
Tips to Help Avoid Excess Exposure to EMFs:
Install Graham/Stetzer Filter
In your home to reduce the harmful, dirty electricity being radiated by your home's electrical wiring.
Replace all the Dimmer Switches
In your house with regular switches. Dimmer switches create dirty electricity that can contaminate an entire home's electrical wiring with dangerous high-frequency energy.
Avoid Installing
Low-voltage halogen, fluorescent tubes and energy-efficient compact fluorescent lighting and other energy-efficient devices or appliances that have variable speed drives in them like some furnaces, fans, heaters, front-loading washing machines and so on. Treadmills are also polluters.
When Replacing your Computer Monitor or TV
Buy a new LCD model. They emit much less EMFs radiation.
Clean Up the Electrical Power Cords
And transformers around your computer and desk and reroute them away from your feet and seating area.
Don't have Power Bars
Or power cords near your feet.
Don't Install
A Wi-Fi Wireless Network.
Don't Buy a Cordless Phone
That uses DECT technology because they constantly transmit a strong radiation and electromagnetic fields signal, even when just sitting in the cradle.
Use Cell Phones Sparingly
Limit the time and use a land line whenever possible
Never Use a Laptop on Your Lap
Unplug your laptop from the electrical outlet and operate on the battery when in use or use it with a keyboard.
Get Rid Of
Your clock radio in the bedroom and switch to a battery-operated model.
Don't Buy a Home
Near a cellular phone tower or close to high-voltage power lines.
Have Your Home Surveyed for EMFs
To reduce your EMF exposure at home, consider having an EMF home inspection and consultation.

Welcome!
I have tried to make this an easy site to navigate but am limited by my technical skills. To get around that, to the right you will find an index page link for the tutorials, tools/techniques and videos. More will be added as the blog develops.

15 Ways to Reduce Electric Smog
REDUCING EMFs MAY IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH
Not only do EMFs impact your own health and that of your children and pets, but also the Earth as a whole, as our overuse of electricity contributes greatly to pollution from coal-fired electricity plants. Those who are wise will heed the warnings of the electrically sensitive and reduce the EMF radiation in their homes through good design and reduction of dependence on electric appliances.
Below is an excellent start: an abbreviated list of construction and lifestyle tips based on a survey of those with severe electrical sensitivity.
1. Rise with the sun and go to bed early to make maximum use of daylight and avoid using artificial lighting whenever possible.
2. Do things manually if there's a way - don't use electricity as a matter of convenience or to save time. For example, use a manual juicer, a "bike blender," or a broom/mop instead of a vacuum cleaner - all great ways to incorporate exercise into your lifestyle and stay fit, without needing a gym membership or having to leave your home!
3. Keep your immune system strengthened with a nutrient-rich organic diet, 8 hours of sleep, moderate exercise, and plenty of fresh air and sun.
4. Practice a chemical-free lifestyle to reduce your total body burden of toxins: replace all personal care and home-cleaning products with chemical free versions, wear organic clothing, use organic bedding, etc.
5. Wear shoes with a sole made from natural materials (like undyed leather), walk barefoot on the beach or earth, or hug a tree - these all may help you release excess EMFs into the earth and ground your body.
6. Unplug electrical appliances when not in use.
7. Keep your bedroom free of electrical appliances, especially near your head while you sleep - use a battery-operated alarm clock rather than electric; unplug lamps.
8. Remember that walls, floors, and ceilings do not block EMFs when arranging your furniture.
9. Replace dimmer switches with regular switches to eliminate high-frequency radiation, or "dirty electricity," that can be hidden in your home's electrical wiring.
10. Avoid low-voltage halogen and fluorescent lighting (including the currently popular energy-efficient compact fluorescent lighting). Fluorescent lighting has been shown to cause migraines10 and contains mercury, which is a hazardous material that can create huge health and environmental problems.
11. Avoid the use of appliances with variable speed drives, such as fans, heaters, front-loading washing machines and some furnaces.
12. Avoid the use of microwave ovens, hair dryers, electric toothbrushes, electric blankets, heating pads, baby monitors, and other electric products.
13. Do not buy cordless DECT phones, which emit a constant electromagnetic signal even when not in use. Save cell phones for emergencies and use land lines whenever possible. Make sure cell phones are turned off when not in use, and avoid using them inside a car. When you do use cell phones, use appropriate air tubes and shielding devices: see RFSafe.com and LessEMF.com for available products. Keep cell phone chargers unplugged when not in use.
14. Use LCD computers and TV screens and avoid plasma TVs. Keep computer use to a minimum; keep unplugged when not in use.
15. Avoid areas with wireless networking (WiFi) - internet cafes, airports, etc.

15 Hints for Dowsing
BASIC DOWSING HINTS
Offered by Jack Livingston & Joan McFarlane
Get what you are looking for firmly in your mind.
Phrase the question so it can be answered yes, no, or maybe. If need be, break it into parts. Writing down both questions and answers can be helpful.
.
Make sure of your wording. What you ask for is what you get and a single work can change the meaning. Questions are taken literally.
Accept your original answer. Repeatedly asking the same question is saying, in effect that you did not like the first one so you may get another.
If you are concerned you may be putting conscious thinking into an answer, have someone else dowse it for you. Personal questions for yourself and those close to you is where this is most apt to happen.
Get the full answer to the first question before you go on to the next so there is no change of overlap. In fact, it is a good idea to halt your instrument.
Do not ask frivolous questions- ones you already know the answer to or can get easily from another source. They are fine as a learning tool, but come under game playing later on.
When you do not have enough personal knowledge to phrase a question, it is perfectly acceptable to use the information provided by the mind of the person asking you to dowse.
There is some we call "invasion of privacy". Your very first question, in some cases, should be whether you should ask for the information you want. There may be a very good reason you are not aware of. This is especially true when you are working with people. You need permission.
Know how to recognize when you are getting tired. You will begin to get sloppy answers. Learn to detoxify yourself after a long session.
If someone is bothering you, do not hesitate to ask him or her to leave. If you personally feel bad about answering, say no.
When dowsing for the future it will most likely be based on the information available today. People and events change, so it is something to keep in mind.
Dowse for need not greed and you will be more successful.
Do the best you can and if you do make a mistake, try to learn from it.
Keep humble.

Tools and Techniques: Dowsing Tools
No doubt you will find many other tool-less methods of dowsing which suit your personal way of doing things, and eventually you may arrive at the perfect art of dowsing, when you merely have to think of the question in order to receive an answer. Few of us attain that level.
WHICH DOWSING TOOL?
Author: Catherine Fortlage
There are almost as many dowsing tools as there are dowsers - and that runs into thousands. However, apart from the really weird dowsing tools, which are very personal to their designers and are usually quite incomprehensible to anyone else, dowsing tools generally fall into a few groups, classified according to the way they work.
There are conventional ways of holding and using the various tools which are appropriate to their function, and for the apprentice dowser it is safer to follow the normal method during the learning stage, eventually developing a personal method as experience ripens.
Some people will tell you that you must face North, wear purple pants, chant a mantra, and use only the little finger of your left hand (except at full moon when you should use your left big toe); but in practice it does not matter in the slightest how you use your dowsing tools - just do whatever feels right for you.
I have never found any ill effects from using other people's tools or lending my own, but some dowsers feel strongly about lending or borrowing tools, and their feelings should be respected - always ask permission to use someone else's gear.
Before using any dowsing tool you should remember the three questions which must be asked before dowsing any subject - May I? Can I ? Should I? - only if the answer to all three is Yes - Yes - Yes, should the dowser continue. When trying out dowsing tools, remember that the "Need to know" principle always applies even when practising; just "having a go for fun" is unlikely to produce any reliable results.
Of all the well known tools, pendulums are probably the most commonly used, varying from a lump of old iron on a bit of string to valuable gem stones on gold chains, and ranging from half pound weights to delicate featherweight pendulums. Next in popularity are the angle rods or L-rods which may also vary in size and weight from heavy steel rods to light swivelling pocket rods. Some people, especially country dowsers working on landscape and water projects, prefer the ancient Vee rods, either the traditional large hazel forked rod, or the modern smaller plastic or wire vee-shaped rods. Both angle rods and Vee rods need two hands to operate them, whereas pendulums, bobbers and wands can be used single handed. Then there are the straight rods; either bobbers which give a yes or no answer, or wands which can give a wide range of responses. There are also two well known complex tools; the aurameter and the revealer, which will be described in more detail later.
PENDULUMS
Pendulums have the advantage that they are easy to carry, simple to use, and can give a wide range of responses; they are ideal for indoor use, map dowsing, and can be discreetly used in public places. Anything makes a pendulum - car keys or neck chains, or shoulder strap handbags will do perfectly well. You can even swing one shoe by its laces if necessary, though this may look a bit odd in the supermarket. Some people like to stick to one pendulum, others like to use several different types, some like long strings, others like short strings - use what you like. I use a heavy brass plumb bob out of doors, and a crystal ball on a silver chain, which lives round my neck, indoors.
Pendulums can swing side to side, forward and backward, circle right or left, or swing in a random pattern. These five movements can be programmed by the dowser to answer "yes" or "no", "don’t know", "what a silly question", and "you mustn't ask this". The strength of the swing indicates the force of the answer - if you ask whether a particular food is safe to eat and you get a really wild swing for "no" - don't touch it, though a slight swing might mean that the food will be OK with indigestion tablets. Using one hand for the pendulum and the other for writing notes, planting markers, or tracing lines on a map is very convenient. Quartz crystal, metal and wooden pendulums are available from the BSD, and gemstone pendulums can be had from any Mind Body and Spirit type shop. Some pendulums can be unscrewed to reveal a cavity which will hold a "witness" or sample of the substance being sought. This is helpful to some dowsers, though if you are trying to locate a US nuclear submarine (yes, it can be done) you may have a little difficulty in getting a piece of one as a witness. Experienced dowsers simply hold the image of their target in their minds; this works just as well as long as you don't let your mind wander.
ANGLE RODS
These vary from very heavy beautifully polished brass rods up to 500 mm long to a bit of bent wire, but they all work the same way. Rods may be plain bent metal held in the hand so that the swing is controlled by the friction of the fingers, or they can be mounted in swivel handles which allow completely free movement. Some control is certainly useful in windy conditions or when walking over rough ground, but the swivel type give a more sensitive reading since they are not affected by your grasp. Folding angle rods are available which are more convenient to carry in your pocket. The rods are normally held one in each hand, with your elbows away from your sides, and your forearms horizontal, which allows the rods to move easily. Angle rods cross inwards or turn outwards for "yes" and "no" according to the way you program them, and though they can rotate like pendulums, their best function is for finding and following energy or water lines. They will cross or diverge when the line is reached, and the direction can easily be followed by seeing the rods remain parallel when over the line and watching them turn towards the line when you go off to one side. A single rod will give a yes or no by circling like a pendulum, and depths or distances can be dowsed by counting the number of revolutions. Angle rods can be fitted with sights or even a compass in order to give a bearing for plotting energy lines on a map, but in order to do this accurately it is necessary to use a GPS navigator and to have a competent knowledge of local and global compass magnetic deviation.
VEE RODS
Probably the oldest dowsing tool, and very satisfying to use. In some way these traditional natural rods seem to create a relationship between the dowser and the earth which is not so clear when using man-made tools. Traditionally, hazel is considered the best wood for the job, since it is very flexible, grows in the right shape and is easily available in Europe. In theory, a rod cut from a tree in the area where you are going to dowse is the best, but it is not always easy to find a good rod locally, and a good rod is worth keeping if you find one. The larger and stronger rods last well, and are easier to hold than thin rods, but they can snap up and down sharply with painful results to your nose or more critical parts of your anatomy. Vee rods do have to be held in the correct way to function, and this needs a demonstration and some practice, as well as developing some unexpected muscles. The arms of the rod are held one in each hand with the point of the fork pointing straight ahead, and the rod will jump sharply up or down when energy or water lines are crossed. An expert dowser will know by the feel of the rods if the water is good, how strong the flow is and how deep it lies, as well as its seasonal flow, but such skill takes a long time to develop. Small plastic or wire rods work in the same way, and need less strength, but are not so satisfactory to use. Cut your own hazel rod from any hedge or coppice, but do not take young saplings - find a mature tree which will not miss a branch or two. It is important to get both arms of the rod the same thickness, otherwise they will not respond accurately.
STRAIGHT RODS
Bobbers are simple short straight rods with a weight on the end which moves up and down or side to side, giving a simple "yes" or "no" answer to questions. Any straight stick, such as a walking stick, will dip over the target if it is held horizontally at the point of balance and allowed to move freely, though the response is not very sensitive. Wands are more sophisticated straight rods, longer and more flexible, slightly weighted with a crystal or brass tip. They can move up and down, side to side, circle right or left, move randomly or just vibrate and these movements can be programmed just as a pendulum is taught to give regular responses (this really means that you are programming your mind, but it sounds better to say that you are programming the dowsing tool) . The strength of the tip movement indicates the strength of the response, just as a pendulum does, but if the movement is too violent for comfort, the wand can be told to work at a lower power. Being very flexible they can follow very small changes in energy or water lines down to a few millimetres, and can even be used for map dowsing though this is not very comfortable. There is no particular way of holding a wand, though as with all dowsing tools, a very tight grasp tends to reduce the movement. Wands can be as short as 500 mm or as long as a metre, according to your taste and the purpose they are used for. They are very good for dowsing auras, and physical injuries, and some dowsers can transmit healing through them to the affected part. Telescopic wands are very useful as they will go in a pocket, though the movement is not quite so sensitive, but you can try using a car or radio aerial for the job.
ODD RODS
There are numerous personal variations on two-handed metal or plastic rods in odd shapes, such as W shaped, S shaped, U shaped, Z shaped, X shaped or C shaped, and some dowsers prefer these as they are supposed to give a more subtle response. Each end of the rod is held in a hand and the twist of the rod conveys various signals to the dowser - you could try twisting some wire into odd figures and seeing if you get better results.
AURAMETER
This is an American tool for dowsing auras. It has a bullet shaped head on a spring balanced jointed arm which is capable of very complex and subtle movements. There is quite a considerable literature on the use of the aurameter, and it really requires some tuition and a good deal of practice before reliable results can be obtained. Some healer dowsers swear by it, while other dowsers cannot get sensible answers from it at all. They are quite expensive - around $ 140 - so try to borrow one before spending money on something you cannot use successfully.
THE REVEALER
A late Victorian tool which was developed mainly to search for minerals. There are not many around, and they do not seem to be made now, though you may see one at a meeting if the proud owner brings it along to demonstrate. The Revealer is basically an angle rod, made in jointed sections with a set of soft springs strung from the top of the handle to the bottom. When using the Revealer, different samples of metals (or other substances) were held against the springs and the rod responded only if that substance was found. The whole outfit lives in a beautifully polished hardwood box. I have never used one, but they were very popular at the time, so that they probably work well.
BODY TOOLS
Also known as "tool-less dowsing". This consists of using various parts of your body as dowsing tools to give a simple "yes" or "no" response. Some of the more usual methods are:
if you are one of those people who can twitch their ears this will work well.

Tools & Techniques: Space Clearing
TECHNIQUES FOR SPACE CLEARING
You can learn simple techniques to clear your own space in workshops or directly from your guides. There are also a number of good books on the subject such as Denise Linn's "Sacred Space".
Space clearing can be a profound and highly effective ceremony when performed by an experienced practitioner, which is recommended where longstanding imprints and entities are involved.
If I am performing a Clearing & Blessing, I use a combination of tools and techniques depending upon the situation I find. Before hand I will talk with the client to find out what is needed to be done and will conduct an assesment with them. An individualized ceremony is created specificially for them. The duration of the actual clearing and blessing ceremony will take a minimum of one hour, but generally last longer. Much of this is dependent on the depth and needs of that particular environment and the homeowner. Some of the most important steps are:
Grounding & Connection
To start the ceremony, I ground and center myself, then connect with my guides, angels or devas. I may do any number of things to begin a ceremony to anchor a high vibrational connection to the space. I generally begin the ceremony outside, working around the permeter of the property, then move indoors.
Energy Sensing
I walk through the home to sense the various energetic imprints on walls, corners, objects, rooms. The information gathered also provides insight into the emotional well-being of the people who now live there and how they could improve their environment for greater harmony. This might mean moving some furniture or placing objects in different locations.
Clapping
As I walk through the home I will often be clapping my hands to loosen the energetic imprint. Clapping frees up stuck energy and starts the flow.
Sacred Smoke and Clearing Sprays
I burn sacred sage and fan the smoke through the house, especially in corners, cupboards, under tables, and in places where heavy energy has collected. Sage is a powerful purifier. I may also use a clearing spray made from essential oils, crystal and flower essences to dissipate stagnant energy.
Clearing Entity Attachments
I follow directions from my guides and angels to release earth-bound entities, and thought
forms.
Sacred Sounds
I may also include the use of my Tibetan singing bowl, drum or use my voice to tone. The sound reverberates throughout the space. Particles of stagnant energy, astral fragments or perverse energy cannot withstand these vibrations. All are shattered and the frequency of the energy is increased to a higher vibration similar to that of a ceremonial temple.
Energising Spray
After the clearing I may use another energizing spray to fill the space with revitalising energy. The formula formula would vary depending on the situation.
Sealing with Angelic Light and Sacred Symbols
The energy in the home is now bright and sparkling and can to be reinforced by working with angels to seal the space with colour, light and sacred symbols. If a blessing is being done I work with my client to formulate their intentions, wishes and dreams and this is included in the last part of the ceremony, ensuring the imprint of the home is now one of harmony and love.

Tools and Techniques: Bovis Scale
BOVIS SCALE OR BIO METER
When doing geopathic stress clearing work it is important to have a toolbox of techniques and tools that can assist you in the process. Here we are going to discuss one very important, yet easy to use tool called the Bovis Scale
WHAT IS THE BOVIS SCALE OR BIO METER?
It is a Life Force Index named after a French physicist Antoine Bovis, created it in the 1930's while scale doing research among the Great Pyramids of Egypt. This scale measures "Natural Earth Energy", ranges from zero to infinity.
WHAT DOES THE BOVIS SCALE DO?
The Bovis Scale quantifies or measures how positively or negatively charged a substance is. For living organisms, the key reference point on the scale is found at 6,500 Bovis energy units.
WHAT ARE THE BOVIS SCALE READINGS?
READINGS BETWEEN: 0 to 6,500 BOVIS:
The charge is in the NEGATIVE range, or life-detracting
READINGS ABOVE 6,500 BOVIS:
The energy gradually becomes more POSITIVE, or life-enhancing
DESIRED MINIMAL ENERGY LEVEL FOR HUMANS
Is found between 8,000 to 10,000 Bovis, or slightly positive
THE EARTH
Creates energy in the 7,000 to 18,000 range This energy is also referred to as "Biophotons", which are light particles invisible to our eyes. This positive energy is necessary to the maintenance on Earth
THE IMPORTANCE OF SPIN:
Scientists have discovered a direct correlation between the Bovis scale and the direction of spin displayed by an atom or molecule. Atoms registering in the negative Bovis range will spin to the right, or clockwise. Atoms in the positive Bovis range spin, to the left, or counterclockwise. Examples found in nature of this spin properly include cellular DNA, which is a left-turning spiral: in contrast, cancer cells are in a right-turning spiral.
SOME MORE BOVIS SCALE VALUES: Source
8500: Is person’s top, completely recharge
7500: Person in good health
6500: A tired person
6000: Very tired person, it is final limit, and under this point you are sick
Between 8500 and 9000 : A person is able to heal people using their hands
Above 9000: Able to tap into psychic abitity, medium power
Above 10 000: The good Cosmo -telluric place are often
6500 BOVIS: Human Being
6500 to 16000 BOVIS: Chakras
11000 BOVIS : Church Bell
14000 BOVIS : Tibetan Temple
1000000 BOVIS: Swastika (Any Size)
Note: Reminder, if you are determining a Bovis Scale Reading on another individual, first ask them for permission.
DOWNLOAD THE EXPANDED BOVIS METER SCALE CHART:
This is the Bovis Meter Chart that Scott and I use when we are doing energy clearing. To use simply dowse with a pendulum. We take a general reading of the property or location before beginning the work and then once the work is done. Specific areas can be done as well. For example, inside of a home, each room can have its own reading. You can also go back into the history of a particular location. For example: Show me the Bovis Reading for this property, state the specific location, in the year XXXX.
Recently when working with a home owner, I was trying to determine the time frame from which the property was showing low Bovis Readings. I started at the year 1900 and received a positive reading. For whatever reason, I then jumped to 1960 and barely was able to get a response, the value coming in at less then 1000 Bovis. As I was questioning the homeowner, it came out that the property behind her home, a farm, was identified as a Superfund Site, around 1960. This is a very simple example showing how information can be pinponted more specifically.

Tools And Techniques: Dowsing 101
EASY STEPS TO START DOWSING
Have you always been interested in the magical ability of dowsers? Wishing you could do the same thing yourself? Well the bad news is---there is no magic; the good news is---we all can dowse. Now how well you dowse, that degree of skill and ability is entirely up to you.
Just like any other skill in life, we become competent with practice, we become good with more practice plus understanding, and finally we become the master with more practice, understanding, and willingness to allow our intuitive abilities to shine through the veil we hide behind.
The purpose of this article is to outline the basics so you can begin your adventure into the world of dowsing as soon as you have finished reading. There are any number of tools that can be used to dowse, such as L-rods, Y-rods, bobbers, and pendulums. For the master dowser, tools begin to be unnecessary and a large number of tool-less dowsing techniques are employed. I will be discussing learning to dowse using the pendulum, simply because this is my tool of choice.
The First Thing You Need is a Pendulum
You can purchase one from a store or online, but if a simple tool is all you need to get started, begin by looking around your house. Any string or chain can be used which has something suspended from the end of it. I have made hundreds of pendulums in the past ten years using gemstones, crystals, stones and beads but my favorite pendulum is the necklace I wear. It is a simple quartz crystal pendant on a silver chain. It is my signature jewelry piece, not wearing it feels like walking around without underwear. So it is always with me. The trouble with my other pendulums was that I wouldn’t always have it with me then I would want to dowse something and ughhh! no pendulum. The necklace eliminates the problem. You can use a needle on a thread, a key on a keychain, a screw looped through a string. The possibilities are limited my your imagination.
Now We are Ready to Get Started:
Step 1: Get Clear
Empty your mind of any busyness that is cluttering it up…pretend there is a port hole on the side of your head… open it up, allow the thoughts, chatter, mind-mess to drain out. If you have some trouble with this, concentrate on your breathing…breathe in open space, breathe out stuffiness, continue until you feel very clear headed.
Step 2: Get Connected & Grounded
Get connected to your higher self, this is a continuation of step one, once the gunk is moved out, our higher energies have space. Use whatever means gets you into this space. I like to center myself and ask to be in perfect alignment with my higher self, by focusing my attention on the crown chakra at the top of the head, while imagining a strong golden cord between me and the Source. I then ground myself. This is done simply by visualizing strong roots growing out of the bottom of my feet, moving deeply into Mother Earth. Here I am provided with a two way flow…if I need to discharge energy it can flow into the earth to be transmuted, if I need to gather earth energy, it is absorbed upward.
Step 3: Find Your Yes & No
In order to dowse, you must know what your Yes response will look like as well as your No response. Holding your pendulum chain or string comfortably in one hand, position your elbow on a table or solid foundation. Give the direction: “Please Show Me My Yes Response”. Then let go of any expectation and wait. It may take a minute to have your pendulum show a reaction, although most people can get a response much quicker, within 10 -15 seconds on their first attempt. The swing may be a vertical or horizontal line, a clockwise or counterclockwise swing, or a diagonal to the left or right. Record what your Yes Response was.
Next give the direction: “Please Show Me My No Response.” Generally it will be the opposite of your Yes response. If your received a horizontal line for a Yes, then in most cases you will receive a vertical line for a No. This is not always the case but it is more frequently than not. Record what your No response was.
On the first few attempts the response may be a weak signal. If this is the case, you can strengthen the response just by asking. For example, when you direct “Show Me My Yes” and you get a weak (slow moving/barely moving) horizontal line, follow with the direction “Show Me a Stronger Yes”. The pendulum will move faster or quicker, in a more definite or defined way. A few times practicing this will generally result in strong swings from then on.
Step 4: Questions to Ask Before Dowsing
Dowers practice asking 3 questions before beginning. May I? Can I? Should I? The questions refer to: May I dowse for this information? Can I- do I have the ability/experience to dowse for this information? Should I dowse for this information or is it best to leave it alone?
Step 5: Some More about Your Questions
The subconscious mind is very literal and does not make assumptions…..
Be specific and clear.
Yes or No questions only! Seems basic but sometimes we forget.
Ask only one question at a time. This means: NO COMPOUND QUESTIONS.
Empty your mind, be curious to know the answer, don’t use this system to validate something you want to prove
Along the same lines, do not ask questions you have a vested interest in or are
highly emotional and you can not detach from—have someone else dowse for you.
After you ask the question- let go and let the response come through you.
Step 6: Begin to Dowse
Start dowsing very simple things until you get comfortable. Here are a few examples of what you can do:
1. You can get a partner to work with and have 2 apples in the room, one organic and one conventional. Hang your pendulum over the first apple, asking “Is this apple organic?” Your partner will know the answer and confirm your response for you.
2. Get a deck of cards, pull out equal numbers of red cards and black cards. Hang the pendulum over the card, ask “Is this card red?” Check your response. Shuffle the cards and continue practicing.
3. Have your partner sit in a chair, asking them to think of either a happy thought or a fearful thought, but not tell you what they are thinking. Hold the pendulum over their head and ask, “Is _____ thinking a happy thought?”
Other Important Things to Remember
As with any new skill: Practice! Practice! Practice! is necessary to achieve accuracy.
When you get tired—stop, period! It affects the accuracy of results.
Perform ethically.
If asking about the future, remember there is not one possible answer but several potentialities, all based on the current set of circumstances.
So now that you have some of the basics, go ahead, off with you! Have fun dowsing.
